In the second quarter of the Dallas Cowboys’ NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers on January 22, 2023, running back Tony Pollard broke his leg and sprained his ankle badly. He had to be carried off the field, and he didn’t come back. Matthew Betz Tweeted about it.

Pollard got hurt when 49ers cornerback Jimmie Ward made a hit on him. Pollard’s leg bent funny under him, and he fell to the floor in pain right away. He couldn’t put any weight on his leg, so he had to be taken off the field on a stretcher.
The Cowboys took a big hit when Pollard got hurt. He is the team’s second-best runner and makes a lot of plays from the backfield. The Cowboys will probably have to lean more on Ezekiel Elliott, who is coming back from an injury to his calf.
Pollard is likely to miss the start of the 2023 NFL season because he will be out for 10–12 weeks. Before July 15, the Cowboys have to sign him to a long-term deal.
Pollard Recovery
On January 24, 2023, Pollard went to the hospital to have surgery to fix his tibia. Pollard’s surgery went well, and he started his recovery soon afterward. Pollard is doing well in his comeback. On February 1, 2023, he was able to walk without crutches. He also runs on a treadmill and does other workouts to help his leg get stronger.
Pollard hopes to be back at training camp in July. He is sure that he will be ready for the NFL season of 2023.

Pollard Impact
Pollard is a running back who can do a lot of different things. He can run fast, catch passes, and return kicks. He is also good at stopping the pass.
The Cowboys are helped a lot by Pollard being in the backfield. He keeps the defenders honest and gives Elliott more room to run the ball. He is also a dangerous player when it comes to passes.
The Cowboys lost a lot when Pollard got hurt during the playoffs. But his rehab is going well, and he should be ready to play in the NFL by the 2023 season. Pollard is an important player for the Cowboys, and when he comes back, it will help the team a lot.
