Since 2013, Tim Scott has served as the state of South Carolina’s Republican senator. He is the only Black Republican currently serving in the US Senate. From 2010 to 2013, he served as a congressman for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.
Tim Scott was the first Black American to hold a position in both chambers of Congress. Additionally, he is the first black Republican and Senator from South Carolina since Edward Brooke left the Senate in 1979.
He was raised in a working-class family and was born in 1965 in North Charleston, South Carolina. Scott’s mother supported her family, including Tim and his siblings, by working 16-hour hours after his parents divorced when he was 7 years old.

Tim Scott is unmarried, and there is no proof that he is currently dαting anyone, so the short answer is no. In an interview with Politico, Scott stated that he wants to settle down and has always wished to have six children.

He claimed he would wait to start a family until he had succeeded enough to care for his mother. Scott claims he came very close to settling down with his fiancée in his early 40s.
But when the 1st District seat in South Carolina became available, he concluded that marriage and Congress wouldn’t go well together.
Tim Scott openly discussed an abstinence oath he had made as a part of his evangelical Christian religion when running for office in his 30s. At 46, he finally acknowledged that the commitment had been breached. He yet maintains that abstinence is the preferred course of action.
