Denver's The Weeknd Concert What To Know

Today marks The Weeknd’s early arrival in Colorado. The Weeknd will perform at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High on Thursday, August 18 as part of his “After Hours Til Dawn Global Stadium Tour.” Here you will read about The Weeknd’s Denver concert details.

Canadian electronic musician Kaytranada and DJ/producer Mike Dean will open for The Weeknd. Originally set for July 2020, The Weeknd’s Ball Arena performance was postponed to July 2021, then February 2022, and finally canceled.

The Weeknd’s stadium tour will feature “his most ambitious production to date,” according to organizers. “This will reflect the creative journey that continues to unfold for both these albums, creating worlds within worlds as we have all been watching unfold in various television performances, music videos, and short films bringing these first two pieces of his trilogy to life.”

Forecast

With a high of 88 degrees and largely sunny skies on Thursday, a lone thunderstorm is possible.

Garages With Fees

Thursday’s event at Empower Field at Mile High has parking passes available for purchase on Ticketmaster starting at $30. Off-site lots, including those near the Auraria Campus, the Ball Arena, and the Downtown Aquarium, will be charged for parking for the event.

Street parking

Be aware that there may be parking restrictions around the stadium and other areas. Right of Way Enforcement officers from Denver will be patrolling the area and ticketing drivers that violate the marked parking restrictions.

Unauthorized vehicles parked in Denver’s 2000 West 3rd Avenue area will be issued citations and transported to a temporary impound site.

Carpool

When going to a concert, it’s a good idea for attendees to carpool, either with a friend or a sober designated driver. There will be less traffic and fewer people will have to park on the street if fewer people drive to the concert.

Bike

More than 300 individual bike racks are available at Empower Field at Mile High, which is located in close proximity to Denver’s bike trails. Get a free copy of the Denver Bike Map at any recreation facility or Denver City Council office, or check it out online at DenverGov.org/BikeMap.

Railways With Bright Lights

On Thursday, the light rail routes operated by Regional Transportation District (RTD) that serve Empower Field at Mile High will function normally.

Both Coors Field and Empower Field at Mile High may be reached by taking the E or W lines of the Denver Light Rail. Before boarding a bus or train, customers are urged to check the RTD website for the latest schedule information.

Transportation By Bus

Concertgoers are encouraged by RTD to download the RTD Mobile Tickets app in advance of the show to purchase light rail and bus tickets.
