On a fantasy Earth called Melromarc, four people from other worlds are brought together to form a group called the Rising of the Shield Hero. The group is made up of two people from each of the other worlds. It’s in this place that they each get a legendary weapon and are asked to protect the land from a wave of monsters.

In this storey, a fan named Naofumi Iwatani is sent into the world. He is given the title of Shield Hero.
