The Old Guard
The series is a comic book-inspired superman film that will be directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Greg Rucka. Actors include Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts and Marwan Kenzari.
Netflix premiered The Old Guard on July 10, 2020. The action scenes and the acting of Theron were praised by reviewers, who gave it a generally good assessment. Victoria Mahoney will direct the sequel, which is currently under production.

The Old Guard Storyline
Andy of Scythia, Booker, Joe, and Nicky are a group of grizzled old warriors who possess the mysterious ability to regenerate and repair themselves. They work as hired guns, doing tasks that benefit others. Acknowledging James Copley’s request to rescue a group of kidnapped girls in South Sudan, they break their rule of never working for the same company again. When the expedition turns out to be a ruse, they are captured and slain. Recovering quickly, they realize that Copley had them set up and videotaped part of their regeneration.
After knocking down a tactical target during an Afghan home search, U.S. Marine Nile Freeman had her throat slashed while recuperating. In the wake of this nightmare, she awakens a number of other immortals to the fact that she is in fact a genuine person. Andy locates the confused Nile in Afghanistan and rushes her back to the United States for further testing before the military can get their hands on her.
Steven Merrick, the cocaine cartel’s boss, sends operatives to apprehend the gang after seeing Copley’s footage of the trap. When the Nile is taken to a safe home in France, Andy introduces her to her new friends.
When Quynh, Andy’s first companion, was captured and accused of black magic, she was thrown into the water in an iron lady and has been suffocating ever since. She is informed about this. After discovering that they aren’t immortal, the group also discovers that they can’t heal in the long term like a previous everlasting, Lykon.
Merrick’s abilities entrap the group, capturing Joe and Nicky and leaving a seemingly dead Booker behind. And yet as Booker recuperates, Andy kills their aggressors as a group, even though she is hurt and admits that she isn’t getting better. While Booker searches for Copley, Nile withdraws from the group in order to reunite with her family.
