Who Will Be The Next James Bond?

However, Tom Hardy has begun to make a reappearance in the current Bond odds as a potential “next James Bond” option. There is a chance that Idris Elba’s days as the top 007 are over. After the release of No Time To Die, Daniel Craig stepped down from the role of James Bond. The search for a new 007 has begun. Who will be the next James Bond?

Even while the formal announcement is likely to come in the next year, Bond odds can help fans guess where 007’s execs might be looking till then. Idris Elba surprised everyone when he gained the lead in the betting in recent weeks. The situation, however, will soon alter.

As long as anyone can remember, Tom Hardy has been a favourite in the Bond betting odds. After it was revealed that he had already been cast in the role behind the scenes, his inclusion in the betting spread like wildfire.

Unconfirmed rumours about Hardy replacing Craig aroused tremendous interest in the actor. This time, Ladbrokes has lowered the star’s odds in a surprise twist, allowing him to recapture the number one slot.

Incredibly, Ladbrokes has given Hardy a 5/1 shot of becoming the next James Bond. Just below Marvel’s Chiwetel Ejiofor, he was previously in fifth place with a meagre 7/1.

When asked by Alex Apati, a representative of the company: “Tom Hardy is long been connected with the 007 role and punters are once again becoming convinced that Bond chiefs consider him as the guy to succeed Daniel Craig, causing us to subsequently slash his odds over the weekend.”

However, Hardy has previously stated he will not be commenting on whether he plans to become the next James Bond. If you talk about it, you’re automatically out of it. That’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting and in the fellowship of my peer group.”

Regé-Jean Page, the Bridgerton hottie, is right behind Hardy. Though he has a strong 4/1 shot at becoming James Bond, the British-Zimbabwean actor doesn’t think he has a fantastic shot.

At a press conference earlier this year, it was described that inclusion in the Bond race was more of a “merit badge” than anything more concrete. There are only two names ahead of him at this point. They’re also well-known celebrities.

Actor Henry Cavill, who has starred in Netflix’s The Witcher as Geralt of Rivia and as Superman, is presently second in the betting. Second place for the job goes to Cavill, who has an astounding 4/1. It’s Elba who has emerged as an unexpected frontrunner.
