It’s time for the Demon Lord to come back to class. “The Misfit of Demon King Academy” is ready to make a big return. Based on the light novel series of the same name by author Shu, the manga version of the series came out first. In 2020, the anime version will come out, thanks to animation studio SILVER LINK. This time, fans are more excited than ever because the show is going to have a second season.
SILVER LINK hasn’t been very forthcoming about what Season 2 will be like, but there have been some recent developments worth noting, especially in terms of the show’s casting, and the source material could give us some clues about the show’s future. So, here is what we know so far about “The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2.”
Will The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Return For Season 2?
As previously stated, SILVER LINK officially announced the 2nd season in March of this year via Crunchyroll. Aniplex USA, the anime’s licensor, even produced a Japanese-only trailer to tease the series’ future continuation. While we don’t know when Season 2 of “The Misfit of Demon King Academy” will be published in 2022, we do know that, according to Anime News Network, the anime will be televised as a split-cour season.
For anime viewers unfamiliar with the cour system, this effectively means that the first and second half of the season will be separated by a lengthy break to match Japan’s broadcasting schedule.

The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Season 2: Characters Expected
Season 2 of ‘The Misfits of Demon King’ will feature a new voice cast, which will be announced soon.
On December 20, 2021, the anime revealed that Anos Voldigoad would be voiced by a new actor.
The character was formerly voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki during the first season. Following Suzuki’s sabbatical from the series, the official Twitter account for the series revealed that Yuichiro Umehara will be taking over as the series’ lead actor, replacing Suzuki.

Weather Report in ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean,’ Mars in ‘Black Clover,’ and other roles are familiar to Umehara fans from her earlier work. Goblin Slayer appears in the film ‘Goblin Slayer’ and other works.

The Misfit Of Demon King Academy Season 2: Plot
Demon Lord Anos Voldigoad is about as powerful as they come two thousand years before the events of “The Misfit of Demon King Academy” are set in motion. No one, not even the gods, can stand in his way. The greatest of the best through many millennia of conflict, Anos has grown weary and longs for a time when all is at peace.
As a result, he strikes a peace agreement with Kanon, the hero of humanity. He then sacrifices himself for the greater good and is reincarnated 2,000 years into the future to complete the cycle. The main problem is that the quality of magic has declined significantly over time. As a result, when the Demon King Academy admits participants, they are unable to discern Anos’s incredible might and influence. Instead, he is branded as a social outcast.
Over the course of Season 1, Anos discovers many new things about the modern world, the most unexpected of which is the discovery that no one seems to remember who he used to be. Following Anos’ death 2,000 years ago, it appears that human conspirators led by Jerga (Akio Ootsuka) betrayed Kanon in order to continue the history of demon hate. As a result, the human hero resolves to reincarnate himself in order to work along with Anos to destroy Jerga in the future.
Season 1 comes to a close with Jerga’s defeat, paving the way for universal peace amongst all races in Season 2. Despite what appears to be a happy conclusion to the story, there are still seven of the light novel’s ten volumes left to adapt for the screen. According to the official wiki, Anos is referred to as the Demon Lord for the fourth time in the novel. However, a new adversary emerges from within the Demon Academy not long after.
