The Lost Symbol Season 2 Release Date Status: Is This Series Coming in 2022!

“The Lost Symbol” was a TV show based on the third book in Dan Brown’s book series about a fictional Harvard University professor named Robert Langdon. The storey of the famous symbologist had already been made into movies like “The Da Vinci Code,” “Angels & Demons,” and “Inferno.” “The Lost Symbol” by Peacock was a prequel series that looked at Langdon’s life before the events of that trilogy. But with the end of the show’s first season, it looks like the streamer has closed the book on any more adventures that might happen.

When Deadline broke the news on January 24, 2022, it said that “The Lost Symbol” was ending its run after just one season. It wasn’t clear why this decision was made at the time of this writing. An official from Peacock told Deadline, “We were so excited to bring this action-packed mystery thriller to our members. We also had a lot of fun watching this compelling series come to life with a satisfying, complete storey.” This would seem to show that the Season 1 finale was meant to be the end of the show. However, fans of the show will likely still feel that there is more to the mystery that needs to be solved.

The Lost Symbol Season 2 Cast:

The Lost Symbol Season 2 Cast:

We think most of the actors will reprise their roles in the next season, but we haven’t yet confirmed if any new actors will appear. Ashey Zuckerman is the main character in the show, so it’s likely he will be back for the next season, too. Afterwards, Eddie Izzard (Peter Solomon) is kidnapped. He is the professor of symbology, and he has to figure out the symbols. Valerie Curry, Katherine Solomon, Beau Knapp, Rick Gonzalez, and Sumalee Montano are the mentor’s children. Sumalee Montano plays Inoue Sato. The mentor’s daughter is Valorie Curry. Raoul Bhaneja (Nicholas Bastin), Steve Cumyn (Jonathan Knopp), Greg Bryk (Ellison Blake), and Keenan Jolliff (Keenan Jolliff) are some of the actors who have been on the show before (Zachary Solomon).

The Lost Symbol Season 2 Plot:

Before we can figure out if “The Lost Symbol” could be brought back for a second season, let’s look at some possible reasons why the show was cancelled. Ratings for “The Lost Symbol” were not very good when it was shown on NBC in November 2021, according to The TV Ratings Guide. If Peacock was hoping to get a lot of people excited about the show, this might not be the case. And we can see signs that there might not be as much enthusiasm in other places.

On Rotten Tomatoes, “The Lost Symbol” has a score of only 54% from critics. There are a lot of shows that go on to have many seasons even though they don’t get a lot of attention from critics. When we look at the audience score for the show, we can see that, at the time of this writing, it is also at just 53%. After the show was cancelled, the fans of “The Lost Symbol” did not seem to be getting together to fight for it again. “Manifest” was cancelled, and a lot of fans took to social media to try and get another network or streaming service to pick up the show again. As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be a campaign like this for “The Lost Symbol.”

The Lost Symbol Season 2 Plot:

Is it still possible that “The Lost Symbol” will go on?

Based on how things are now, it looks like it’s possible, but not likely. Another network could come in and save the show, or Peacock could change her mind and let Langdon go on another adventure. But there doesn’t seem to be a lot of enthusiasm from the streamer or the people who watch it to get that to happen.

The Lost Symbol Season 2 Trailer:

The trailer for the second season hasn’t come out yet. It’s a good idea to watch the Season 1 trailer while you wait for the movie to start, which Peacock will show on May 17, 2021. The best time to watch the first season is now. The series is moving along slowly, almost to the last episode. There is just the right amount of suspense.
