A five-year-old boy with special needs was allegedly shut up in a room in Texas for such a long period that he began eating his feces. A teacher and two school aids have been arrested in connection with this incident.
Melody LaPointe, 47, and teaching assistants Tarah Tinney, 33, and Augusta Costlow, 27, were all charged with abandoning or endangering a child earlier this week in connection with the horrifying incident place in April 2021.
According to the information provided by ABC 13, they are accused of placing the youngster in an isolation room within a facility belonging to the Liberty Independent School District. The young boy was restrained in the room when he experienced a fall that resulted in an injury; nonetheless, the staff allegedly did nothing to assist him.
He was detained until he began eating his feces and drinking his urine, at which point he was released. Following the arrests, the school district stated that they notified law enforcement and child protective services as soon as they were informed of the occurrence. This was done shortly after they were informed of the incident.

Following the conclusion of the investigation in the year 2021, none of the employees in question was allowed to remain in their positions with our company from that point forward. Our children continue to benefit from the collaboration between Liberty Independent School District and the office of the Liberty County District Attorney.
The bond for each of the three female suspects has been set at $60,000, and they have all been put into the Liberty County Jail.
