She made her television debut on BET’s Haus of Vicious on August 17, 2022, and viewers soon noted that she appeared to have lost weight. As a result, rumors started circulating that the reality star might be ill.Is Tami all right?
Tami Roman Weight Loss
She is well aware of the whispers concerning Tami’s recent weight loss. She reassured supporters that she is not physically ill and has not undergone weight loss surgery in an interview with EurWeb. Tami revealed that she had struggled with her body image for years, which has led to her fluctuating weight.
“I’m extremely thin because that’s what I felt I had to be to be beautiful and every day is a challenge,” the Haus of Vicious star told the outlet. She described her relationship with weight loss as an “obsession.”
Tami added, “People have seen my weight fluctuate up and down, heavier, thinner, even on Unfaithful and Haus of Vicious, you’ll see me heavy and then thin again.”
Tami’s weight loss, nevertheless, isn’t always on purpose. She acknowledged that diabetes also has a significant impact. “Today at 50 years old, I’ve been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and my weight fluctuates with that.”

Tami has previously spoken openly about her struggle with weight. The actor received a diagnosis of body dysmorphic disorder in 2008. Tami once said that she has struggled with her connection with food since she was a youngster.
What did Tami Say About Her Weight Loss?
Roman responded to the criticism in a public message posted on Instagram. “I didn’t lose weight, I lost my willingness to die. DIABETES IS NO JOKE!” the celebrity penned.
“I Detox, suppress my appetite and make better food choices. So enjoy yourself laughing, leaving negative comments & calling me a “crackhead”…but I have two beautiful daughters and I’m gon’ live for them by ANY means necessary. 💯.”
In a 2018 Basketball Wives episode, Roman addressed her weight reduction and informed Jackie Christie that it was due to her diabetes and not so she would look better.
“I’m a diabetic, okay? So for me my weight is very serious. I finally decided to take charge of my f***ing life so that I can live for my kids and my man, and so because of that I lose weight. I’m 48 years old. You know what I’m saying? So this is how my body reacts to me making proper choices with my diet,” she said on the show.
Lyric, 27, and Jazz, who she shares with her ex-husband Kenny Anderson, are Roman’s two children.
