Stephen Curry, the best shooter of all time, two-time MVP, and NBA champion, didn’t necessarily have an easy road to the NBA.
Curry’s latest documentary, “Stephen Curry: Underrated,” explores how he went from being an underrated prospect in high school to one of the greatest shooters of the modern age. Curry only received one college scholarship.
The award-winning filmmaker Peter Nicks and producer Ryan Coogler of “Black Panther” worked together to create the documentary, which included interviews and archival material that allowed viewers to learn more about Curry’s journey. Here is all the information you require about the film.
Steph Curry Documentary Release Date
The fact that there has been a lot of hype around Stephen Curry’s new documentary, Stephen Curry: Underrated, is not at all surprising.
After all, we’re talking about the most excellent shooter of all time, and it’s undeniable that fans have been eager to follow his development from a skinny high school student to a five-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors.
Curry’s Cinderella narrative has now been preserved on film, and we will all soon have the opportunity to watch it. The trailer for Stephen Curry: Underrated was released recently, and I must admit, it’s spectacular.

It reportedly includes never-before-seen interviews with Curry’s family, friends, peers, and of course, Steph herself, in addition to rare footage of Curry as a little boy.
“I was the undersized scrawny kid that was just trying to figure out how to make it. I was overwhelmed by everything,” Steph explains.
The documentary is a joint effort between Apple TV+ and A24 (the studios behind, among other things, the Netflix blockbuster series Beef and the Academy Award-winning movie Everything Everywhere All At Once).
They employed the best available talent for this significant documentary, hiring Black Panther filmmaker Ryan Coogler as a producer and Peter Nicks to helm the picture. On July 21, Stephen Curry: Underrated will be streamable. It is accessible on Apple TV+.
The documentary will concentrate on the subject’s “rise from an undersized college player at a small town Division I college to a four-time NBA champion, building one of the most dominant sports dynasties in the world.” I’m totally on board. I’m eagerly anticipating July 21. See the given Twitter post about the release.
