Let’s take a break from the isekai worlds for a moment and explore the real world, which is rife with supernatural beings and people who possess extraordinary talents. The world of Solo Leveling is very similar to the one described above.
It only makes sense that there will be an anime adaptation of the manhwa in the near future, given how popular the manhwa is becoming. Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of what we already know.
Solo Leveling Release Date
Solo Leveling is set to come out in the winter of 2024. It is being made by A-1 Pictures, the same company that made Sword Art Online, NieR: Automata, Mashle, and many other games.

Even though we don’t know the exact date yet, we’ll let you know as soon as we hear it from a trusted source. So, keep an eye out!
What Is Solo-Leveling About?
If you’re new to Solo Leveling, it might be hard to understand how it was made and when it came out. The story was first released in 2016 as a serialized novel. Later, it was turned into a weekly webtoon, which is a type of online comic popular in South Korea that uses an “infinite scroll” method to show material.
In December 2021, the 179th and last chapter of the webcomic, which was drawn by the late Dubu, came out. So, if the planned Solo Leveling anime is a hit, we could (hopefully) see the whole saga turned into an anime over the course of several seasons.
The story isn’t as easy as it seems, which lets the great action and pacing shine. The story is mostly about Sun Jinwoo, a South Korean student who is known as the weakest hunter. He is one of a small group of people who have been given special powers and told to fight bad creatures that are popping up all over the world.
Sun Jinwoo is almost killed on a dangerous mission, but when he wakes up, he can actively raise his “level.” From then on, he trains to get rid of the idea that he is the best hunter in the world. Along the way, the story uses classic video game tropes and cliches to introduce new characters and problems.
What To Expect From Leveling Alone
You can expect a lot of fights and close calls in this cartoon. As a fan of the manhwa who has read everything there is to read about Solo Leveling, I can safely guess that you won’t even get a small break from all the scary fights and confrontations in the anime version.
That’s if they add all the scenes from the manhwa. You’ll see him fight against every kind of race you can think of, including orcs, goblins, elves, stone golems, dragons, and other people with superpowers.
But fighting won’t be the only thing going on. Sung Jin-woo would also have to decide whether to join an existing group or start his own, which skills to learn and master, and which class to play.
Note: Classes are specializations like fighters, mages, rogues, etc. And because of that, there are a lot of high hopes for A-1 Pictures. I hope they come through!

Solo Leveling Trailer
In March 2023, an official video for the anime was put out by A-1 Pictures.
Fans had given up hope that Solo Leveling would get an anime because it wasn’t going to come out until 2023. However, after the official video came out, fans started to believe again. Let’s just hope that A-1 Pictures keeps to the date this time.
