Shaun White was born on September 3, 1986, in San Diego, California, to a man named Shaun Roger White. He grew up with his brother Jesse, sister Kari, and parents Roger and Cathy. Shaun won the FIS World Cup Men’s Halfpipe in 2009, and he was the first person to get a perfect score in the men’s Snowboard Super Pipe at the Winter X Games in 2012. He got third place at Pipe & Slope in 2013, and while training for the Winter Olympics in New Zealand in 2017, he hurt himself. White’s face was stitched up with 62 stitches after he crashed into the edge of a superpipe. He was in the hospital for five days.
