SEAL Team Season 6 Will Bring Changes

SEAL Team season 6 is currently filming and is expected to premiere on Paramount+ at the end of this year or in the early months of 2023. The season ended with a cliffhanger after the squad was ambushed on a mission in Mali, and there was no way of knowing if everyone had survived.

A new SEAL protagonist is expected to join the series. As a SEAL veteran with almost a decade of command experience under his belt, Omar is an outstanding leader. The fact that he is the son of Syrian immigrants provides him an advantage in Middle Eastern missions because of his familiarity with the cultures of the region.

In the CBS military legal drama “The Code” (which aired for one season in 2019), Raffi Barsoumian portrays Omar, better known for his role as Warrant Officer Rami Ahmadi. Aside from the CW series “The Vampire Diaries,” he has also been in the DC Universe show “DC’s Legend of Tomorrow.”

He starred alongside Tom Hanks in “Henry IV” there at Shakespeare Center in Los Angeles. Clay Spenser’s future is in doubt after he was hit in the eye by shrapnel in the season five cliffhanger.

After the Mali mission, Spenser told Jason Hayes that he wanted to exit the squad, and now actor Max Thieriot is appearing in a new CBS series called “Fire Country.” Although the “SEAL Team” creators insist that Thieriot will return for season 6, no word has been given as to whether or not Spenser will remain a series regular after this season.

Some fans believe that SEAL Trent Sawyer has served his time with the team and will not return. Ex-Army Ranger Tyler Grey plays Sawyer, the uncommon military figure that is played by an actual veteran.

A report in the UK tabloid The Express claims that Grey has left the show. Did they come from? On the Cleared Hot podcast, Mike Glover, a veteran of the Army Special Forces, and former Green Beret and CEO of Black Rifle Coffee Evan Hafer spoke.

“The Terminal List” author and ex-Navy SEAL Jack Carr informed Glover that Grey is no longer a Navy SEAL and is now “doing something else,” according to Hafer.

Trent Sawyer didn’t show up in the second half of “SEAL Team” season five, but Grey’s Instagram shows that the showrunner gave him permission to film a role in “Kandahar,” an upcoming military thriller from Gerard Butler and Ric Roman Waugh, who worked together on “Greenland” and “Angel Has Fallen.”

The “something else” Grey was doing was referred to as “Kandahar.” If this is the case, will Grey return to “SEAL Team” for season 6? When the show returns on Paramount+, it will settle another cliffhanger.
