Fans will regret seeing the turbulent Roy family’s inner workings as Succession’s fourth season ends. Sarah Snook, who established her mark as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy and traveled a path full of romantic difficulties, is among those bidding farewell.
But unlike her alter ego, she discovered love with her husband, Dave Lawson, and their marriage continues to astound fans even today. According to a People article, the couple’s path to love began when they became acquaintances in 2014.
But Sarah found herself stranded in Melbourne, Australia, when the COVID-19 epidemic struck in the early 2020s. Consequently, she was confined to the comedian, and their initially platonic relationship quickly became one of love.
She told Vogue Australia in October 2021, “At the beginning of the pandemic last year, I got locked down in Melbourne with one of my best mates and we fell in love.”

Sarah got down on one knee and proposed to Dave on Hallowe’en 2020 as their romance deepened. He agreed, and a few months later, in February 2021, at her Brooklyn home, the two discreetly wed.
The fact that co-star Ash Zukerman, who portrayed Shiv’s ex Nate Sofrelli in seasons 1 and 2 of the HBO drama, served as one of their witnesses added to the significance of the couple’s wedding day.
Additionally, they could conceal their union until October of the same year, when she started to press for season 3 of the show.
However, they didn’t just keep their marital joy a secret. Sarah revealed she was expecting their first child, due in the middle of May, at the premiere of Succession’s last season in March. She disclosed that she shot the final HBO Max episodes while pregnant when discussing motherhood on the Today show.

Furthermore, before the baby is born, the couple has no intention of discovering what they are having. “It is [hard not to find out the gender], but it’s also easy. You just sort of like, block it out. You just don’t think about it too much,” she stated during the March 21 recording.
Although their relationship was short-lived, Sarah and Dave appear more joyful than ever. Even though they like keeping their relationship a secret, the actress claimed that romance can be maintained by simply having fun.
She summed up their successful outcome on the Today Show by saying, “It was one of those things where you’re sort of realizing we’re having a lot of fun.” “There is chaos going on in the world outside and it was like, ‘This is really special because we’re having so much fun.'”
