The Rift has four difficulties: recruit, rebel agent, resistance leader, and Renegade legend. Players can explore more, collect collectibles, and do side activities, but plan to spend 15-16 hours in Rift.
If you want the coveted Platinum Trophy in Rift, you can finish by skipping the cutscenes and playing with the easiest difficulty.
There are some things to do that don’t require the Platinum Trophy, but you will have to go through the prologue and purchase the two weapons that will appear in the new game.

Rivet Is A Different Character
Rivet is a new character with his distinctive personality and “a lot of history in the unusual dimensions of Rift Apart, “said lead author Lauren Mee.
For months, the identity of Rift Apart’s new playable protagonist has been a closely guarded secret, with Insomniac Games revealing his name only during extensive gameplay recordings from last month’s PS5 state of play presentation.
The character debut in the game as a Clank who is taken away from Ratchet and separated from him. He finds him in an infamous city after the destruction of Dimensioners and joins him and Ratchet to stop the dimensional catastrophe.
Rivet is Lombax, a resistance fighter in a dimension where the evil Emperor Nefarious is on the hunt to confront him.
Even though Rivet lost his arm in his battle with the Emperor and Dr. Nefarian and knows nothing of its dimensions, he is not only a faithful companion of Ratchet and Clank.
Resistance Mission
The resistance plans a final attack to prevent the emperor from destroying the dimension, following him through the trench. When he gets his invading army to lead the attack against them, Ratchet, Slim and Rivets lead the attack.
Six months later, a retired Qwark joined with Ratchet and Clank to defeat one of his former supporters Stuart Zurgo. Rivet traveled to Zordoom prison to rescue Ratchet, Clank, and Kit from two dangerous eves sent to them and save other resistance members.
During the Resistance mission to steal the info bots from the emperor’s troops, Rivets come across Clank damaging himself and Ratchet during a dimensional jump during a conflict with Dr. Nefarious.
A few years later, Qwark, now head of the Kerwan Defense Network, sent a distress call to Ratchet and Clank after being attacked at the Planetary Defense Center by the Emperors Tachyon.
After destroying a nefarious fleet and being captured and supported by his friends, he escaped with a snowball and helped to stop the infamous troops before they could reach him.
Qwark shrank and took his friends back to his apartment, where he began telling exaggerated stories about his exploits.
