On his “To Be The Man” podcast, WWE legend Ric Flair praised his daughter Charlotte Flair, a pro wrestler in her own right and “the best worker in the business today,” claiming that she earned her place in the company and not via nepotism.
Ric, 74, is regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers ever. He was a former 16-time world champion and has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice.
While everything was happening, Charlotte debuted in the WWE at 6 and won the title 14 times. In a few days, she will face longtime foe Rhea Ripley in a WrestleMania bout at SoFi Stadium in California.
Before the big event, though, Lita, another legendary wrestler, told Forbes that unlike Ripley, who earned her place, Flair obtained it through her family.
Charlotte has previously discussed it, noting that “on paper” she simply appears to be the heel (or villain, to use the terminology of professional wrestling) as opposed to the face (the hero).
She stated to the Daytona Beach News-Journal earlier this year, “I just look like the bad guy,” She explained why by stating she is “Ric Flair daughter, 5-foot-10, athletic, blonde, [and with] 14 titles.”
Flair likened Charlotte to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin
Due to her familial connection, Charlotte found it difficult to establish a positive rapport with the audience, so she used it to her advantage by playing a villain.

While everything is going on, Ric is sure that his daughter’s success is a result of her diligence, as evidenced by the fact that he claims to receive calls from other WWE legends like Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
The senior Flair even compared his daughter to ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, saying she deserved to compete in major tournaments.

“Why wouldn’t the best performer in the company, regardless of time off or time on, not be in the main event? Give me a break,” Flair said on his show. This weekend’s WWE event features several vital matches, including Charlotte Flair and Ripley.
Other matchups feature Seth Rollins versus Logan Paul, John Cena vs. Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship, and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes in a singles contest for the WWE Universal Championship.
