It was confirmed to CBS News on Sunday that Ray Stevenson, an actor best known for his roles in the films “Thor” and “RRR,” had passed away.
Age 58 was the final number for the British actor. What led to his demise is unknown.
After making his acting debut in the early 1990s, Stevenson went on to star in many films and television shows. Aside from “Punisher: War Zone,” he also appeared in all three “Thor” movies and the “Divergent” films.
Most recently, he portrayed Governor Scott Buxton in “RRR,” an Indian blockbuster that won an Oscar in 2022.

The actor was also heavily involved in the animated Star Wars universe, lending his voice to Mandalorian super commando Gar Saxon in “Star Wars Rebels” and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”
His final role was as Baylan Skoll in Disney Plus’s upcoming live-action Star Wars series “Ahsoka,” set to debut in August.

Stevenson told attendees at the 2023 Star Wars Celebration event last month, “Getting to wield the lightsaber is just the best feeling in the world,” according to CBS News Atlanta.
