Residents of Pennsylvania are now ready to get their kids vaccinated as The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved the pediatric Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5 through 11. All those consenting shall be able to schedule appointments and get inoculated as soon as possible.
The CDC recommendation comes after being approved by CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The department of Health shall be the body responsible for working with medicare providers to ensure the logistics of the vaccine to all the neighborhoods.
The potency of the dosage of the active ingredient is one-third as prescribed to the age group above it. The regime shall include, 2 doses administered with a 3-week gap between the two.

The CDC has now also been vocal about booster shots for certain specific categories of people, who are at a higher risk, with special medical conditions, or require long-term care.
“Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots,” according to the CDC website.
Further according to the website, the state-wide positivity rate till the week of Nov 4. Stood at 9.3%, and over 73% of the residents are now fully vaccinated.
