Early Life & Family
Baltimore, Maryland native Muggsy Bogues was born in 1965. Richard Bogues and Elaine Bogues welcomed him into the world.
Sherron Bogues (deceased), Anthony Bogues, and Chuckie Bogues are his three siblings. Accompanied by their parents and siblings, they grew up in Baltimore’s Lafayette Court housing projects.
Muggsy’s father was sentenced to prison, leaving his wife and children all by themselves at home. Later, in August 1993, his father passed suddenly from pneumonia in Baltimore.
Chuckie, his older brother, had battled heroin addiction much like his father had. In 1995, he moved in with his brother in order to assist him overcome his addictions.
