Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date: When To Expect The New Fighters!

Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date

Fighting games can be tricky when it comes to guest characters. You have to make sure that the guest figure fits with your game’s theme, gameplay, and overall mood, but if you do it right, you can get some really cool crossovers.

NetherRealm Studios, the company that makes Mortal Kombat, knows this, which is why the downloaded Kombat Packs have given us some really crazy DLC characters in past MK games. The Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack is more of the same. In this post, we are going to talk about the Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date.

Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date

Even though NetherRealm Studios has already shown off the characters that will be in Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 1, we only know that Homelander will come out in Spring 2024. Once the official release dates for all the characters are known, we’ll make sure to update this page.

You can check out a Tweet that confirms the release date of Mortal Kombat 1 and it’s characters:

In the past, new characters came out every two months or so. This means that players might have to wait a whole year after the game comes out to see all of Kombat Pack 1’s characters.

How To Get The Kombat Pack For Mortal Kombat 1 DLC

As of this writing, the only way to get the Kombat Pack is to buy either the Premium or Collector’s Edition of Mortal Kombat 1. Both versions can be ordered ahead of time and come with the six extra figures that came with the first Kombat Pack. When players can buy the DLC separately, we’ll make sure to update this page.

Characters From Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack

Meet the powerful combatants of Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack. These avatars offer new levels of intensity and combat prowess to the legendary fighting game. Get ready to unleash their unique skills and engage in epic battles.

Here you may learn more about each of the characters:

Homelander

Homelander, one of The Boys’ main enemies, is the solution to the question “Who would Superman be if he was evil and also had mommy issues?” Homelander possesses all of the following abilities: flight, super speed, thermal vision, super strength, near invulnerability, and the works. He has a neurotic need to be liked, as well as enough arrogance to start a truck.

Homelander, unlike the majority of the other characters in Kombat Pack 1, is not a trained fighter. Instead, he defeats his opponents via physical power and near invulnerability. It’ll be fascinating to see how that combination plays out in-game, especially considering he appears to be bringing along Gen V.

Omni Man

Omni Man is another superhero addition from Robert Kirkman’s Invincible. Omni Man is a different take on the “evil Superman” concept, with super strength, super speed, flight, near invulnerability, an improved healing factor, extraordinary longevity, and so on. However, there is no heat vision.

Omni Man, unlike Homelander, is a trained combatant, thus it will be interesting to see how that manifests itself in his gameplay. In the animated adaptation, he is voiced by J.K. Simmons.

You might also like to read about some highly anticipated upcoming games:

Peacemaker

In the Kombat Pack, we’re three for three on superheroes. John Cena will reprise his role as Peacemaker, based on the titular character from The Suicide Squad and the Peacemaker TV show created by James Gunn.

Peacemaker is a jerk who believes in achieving peace at any cost. Peacemaker, a supersoldier who is competent with various weapons and a firearms savant, could be an interesting addition to the lineup.

Ermac

Ermac is a returning Mortal Kombat character who began as an urban legend before becoming a genuine character. Ermac, a combination of many souls who died during Outworld’s conflicts, uses teleportation and telekinesis to defeat his opponents.

Though he is sometimes presented as an antagonist, Ermac genuinely wants what is best for Outworld. His telekinetic powers have made him competent at close-range combat, and he possesses strong command grabs and mix-ups.

Quan Chi

Quan Chi is a very powerful NetherRealm sorcerer and necromancer who generally appears as a secondary enemy in Mortal Kombat. Quan Chi’s previous playstyle involved using his magic to serve as a trap zoner with heavy pressure and really vicious mix-ups. We’ll see if he keeps playing like that in MK1.

Takeda

Takeda, the son of Kenshi and a student of Hanzo Hasashi (aka Scorpion), made his debut in Mortal Kombat X but did not return for Mortal Kombat 11 (though an in-game conversation indicates that he is engaged to Jacqui Briggs).

Takeda excelled in footsies and long-ranged assaults in Mortal Kombat X to keep the opponent on alert during neutral. It’s unclear how he’ll fare in MK1.
