Minions: The Rise of Gru Storyline
Gru is growing up in the suburbs in the early 1970s, only a few years after the 2015 film, which takes place immediately after the 2015 film. Gru, a fan of a supervillain gang known as the Vicious 6, devises a scheme to become bad enough to become a member of the group. When the Vicious 6 decide to dismiss their commander, famed fighter Wild Knuckles, Gru is invited to apply for the position of newest recruit.
It does not go as planned, and things only become worse when Gru takes a valuable stone from them with the assistance of Kevin, Stuart, Bob, Otto, and the other Minions, and finds himself now the deadly enemy of the ultimate evil. Gru and the Minions will seek guidance from an unlikely source, Wild Knuckles himself, while on the run, and they will learn that even bad guys need a little help from their friends in this adventure.
