There’s also even more Pixel Watch stuff here.
Consider this a wind change as we walk out of the weekend, with a heavy dose of Pixel Watch leaks coming into it: the Google Pixel 7 is getting leaked long before Google’s announcement on Thursday, with leaked spec sheets and commercials. Okay, how about we finish this off with some newly uncovered information regarding the Pixel Watch?
The spec sheets originated from a Taiwanese carrier and were transmitted to the Google News Telegram channel, where one of the pages was given a translation. They shed some light on several components of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro that have been shrouded in mystery up to this point.
To be more specific, we have discovered here that the zoom numbers on the Pixel 6 series of devices have increased, even though the back cameras have remained the same. On the Pixel 6, the same general-purpose sensor with 50 megapixels that was capable of producing Super Res Zoom stills at 7x is now capable of producing 8x on the Pixel 7.
The 48-megapixel telephoto unit that was included in the Pixel 6 Pro and offered a multiple of 4x optical zoom and up to 20x with some digital improvement will be outdone by the Pixel 7 Pro, which will offer multiples of 6x and 30x, respectively. Prepare yourself for additional comparisons of cameras as the review units begin to make the rounds.

There have been prior reports about other specs, such as the display size and RAM expansion possibilities. Both phones will have the ability to produce an effect that machine translation terms “Movie Motion Blur.” This effect is believed to be an imitation of the Cinematic Mode found on more recent iPhone models. The Pixel 7 Pro is the only gadget that is advertised as having a macro focus capability.

We can see how these two features work in what looks like ads for the post-release marketing phase. SnoopyTech leaked these ads on Twitter (via 9to5Google). As the Pixel 7 Pro ad makes clear, “Movie Motion Blur” will be called “Cinematic Blur.” It might be worse than the Pixel 6’s Action Pan. The ads seem to use the same ideas as a Google ad on YouTube, which you can see below.
And in case you were wondering, the Pixel Watch is in its own leaked ad. Some of the best features are being able to make calls, pay with NFC, and control smart home appliances.
This brings us back to Google News on Telegram, where another post, likely from the same source, shows marketing materials from a Taiwanese carrier for the Pixel Watch. These include confirmation that the battery will last for 24 hours and a “What’s in the box” diagram that shows two sizes of bands as well as a magnetic charging cradle with a USB-C connector.
Good news for people who are sitting on the edge of their seats and biting their fingers waiting for something new to happen: I think the next three days will be full of action.
