KonoSuba is coming back! Here’s everything we know so far about KonoSuba season 3, including the release date, trailer, and other related news.

KonoSuba fans, gear up for more adventures! KonoSuba is in the middle of making its third season. When and where will it be shown? Where is the sneak peek? Who’s animating it? Let’s start right away. We’ll start with the date of release, which is the most interesting part.

KonoSuba Season 3 Release Date

The production of KonoSuba’s third season is already underway! Kadokawa announced that the launch of the third season would take place in May 2022.  We are unable to provide a definitive air date at this time; but, based on our research, we believe that Season 3 may premiere as soon as January 2023.

In addition to the introduction of the third season, Kadokawa also shared the news that a KonoSuba spin-off anime series is now being developed. An adaptation of the spin-off novel KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! is now in the works as an anime series. Although a date for the announcement of the spin-off series has not been set in stone, it is expected that it will begin airing toward the end of 2023.

Crunchyroll hosts episodes from the entirety of the KonoSuba anime series for viewers to enjoy. When Season 3 and the KonoSuba spin-off series air, they will probably both be available to watch simultaneously on Crunchyroll.

An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, also known as KonoSuba, is a prequel series that focuses on the origins of the mage Megumin. Drive is responsible for the animation of the series.

KonoSuba Plotline

The isekai franchise known as KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World (or Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! in Japanese) revolves around a reclusive young man named Kazuma Sato.

Kazuma, who was only seventeen years old when he passed away, was involved in a string of unfortunate events that also involved a fellow student and a truck. After passing away, he is greeted by a gorgeous goddess named Aqua, who makes the offer to transport him to an alternate reality – a world filled with magic and monstrous beings.

Kazuma decides to bring Aqua herself to the new world despite Aqua offering him a choice of what to bring with him to the next world. Aqua decides to accompany Kazuma on his journeys through the afterlife, and the two of them end up making two new friends along the way: a mage and a crusader.

Natsume Akatsuki is the creator of the KonoSuba light novel series, and Kurone Mishima is the artist behind the series’ illustrations. The light novels have had a tremendous amount of success, as there have been over 6 million copies printed all around the world.

In September 2014, the Japanese manga adaptation of KonoSuba was first published in serial form in the magazine Monthly Dragon Age. There are several anime adaptations and spin-off manga series, one of which is KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which is currently being adapted into an anime series.

Studio DEEN is responsible for the animation of the first two seasons of the anime, and Takaomi Kanasaki, best known for his work on Is This A Zombie?, is the director of both seasons. as well as the School Rumble for the second semester.

A computer-animated film titled “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!” was produced based on the series. The film Legend of Crimson, which was produced by J.C.Staff, earned more than $7 million in total revenue across Japan and the rest of the world. Yen Press has the license to publish light novels, and they also have the license to publish manga in North America.

In other news, there have been some new staffing adjustments made for Season 3 of the anime. Let’s get right into the alterations that are going to take place in the third season! KonoSuba Season 3 Changes Animation Studios

It has been established that the production studio that was responsible for KonoSuba has been replaced. Studio Drive is in charge of producing the third season of the KonoSuba anime series. Drive is also animating the new KonoSuba spin-off.

Takaomi Kanasaki, who oversaw the directing of the two seasons that came before this one, is in charge of directing the new one. Yujiro Abe, who will now serve as the series director, will also direct episodes of the television show Kaguya-same: Love is War.

Both Makoto Uezu and Koichi Kikuta have been re-hired to continue working on the series composition and character design, respectively. The same cast and crew that worked on Season 3 will be involved in the production of the spin-off series KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, which will most likely begin airing in the latter half of 2023.
