The second season of the Spectrum drama Joe Pickett is expected to have a bigger and better cast than the first. Deadline says that Keean Johnson, who played Alita: Battle Angel, has agreed to be a regular on the show. Along with him, three other returning cast members—Vivienne Guynn, Chad Rook, and Aadila Dosani—were promoted to series regulars before the second season.
Based on a series of books by C.J. Box with the same name, Joe Pickett is about a game warden, played by Michael Dorman, and his family as they try to stay alive in a small town that is about to go bankrupt. In the first season, a dead body shows up on the doorstep of the Pickett family, which throws them right into a mystery. In the Wyoming wilderness, Joe works with the local sheriff’s office. As he tries to figure out what’s going on and protect his family, he has to untangle a web of conspiracies and intrigue.
Joe Pickett season 2 Plotline
The show is based on the detective stories written by best-selling author C.J. Box. Did you watch the last episode in one sitting? The last battle was the hardest one yet for the Picketts. Those who make it through will have to learn to move on and deal with the sacrifices they have made.
There are two storylines in Season 2. One is about Joe, and the other is about his wife, Marybeth. Joe is left reeling after finding a dead hunter mockingly strung up and field-dressed like an elk.
He realizes, to his horror, that someone in Saddlestring is hunting hunters for fun. When a young Arapaho woman named Marissa Left-Hand goes missing all of a sudden, Marybeth starts her own investigation. Thompson will play Luke Brueggeman, one of Joe’s Game and Fish trainees with a big mouth but a good heart.
He will be Joe’s new partner. He doesn’t like horses either, and according to the description, he uses a “unconventional method” to get drunk Elk to come back. Guynn is back as Joe’s adopted daughter April Keeley. Rook is back as the bumbling Deputy McLanahan, and Dosani is back as Cricket, a quirky deputy who has a thing for a fugitive.
