Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, said something Saturday about former President Jimmy Carter going to hospice.
Guglielmi said that the agency, which has been looking out for Carter and his family for many years, “will forever be by your side.”
Guglielmi stated in a tweet –
“Rest easy Mr. President. We will be forever by your side.”
After the Carter Center said the 39th president would spend his “remaining time” at home, he sent out the tweet. The centre said –
“After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. He has the full support of his family and his medical team. The Carter family asks for privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers.”
In 2015, the former president was told he had cancer. During a press conference at the Carter Center in August of that year, he talked about his health.
Some individuals who have been in the news due to their health concerns have been discussed here:

He said that a small cancerous melanoma growth was taken out of his liver. He said that the doctors thought cancer started elsewhere and then moved to his liver. Later that day, he got an MRI, which showed that the cancer had spread to four different parts of his brain.
During the conference, he said that when he heard the news about his health, he thought he only had a few weeks to live. He said –
“I was surprisingly at ease.”
“I’ve had a wonderful life. I’ve had thousands of friends, and I’ve had an exciting, adventurous and gratifying existence.”
In order to try to live longer, he stayed positive and did what the doctor told him to do. In December, after a few months, he said that the cancer was gone. He went for another MRI, and the doctors said they did not find any cancer in his brain.
In 2019, he had brain surgery because he had been hurt so many times that his head hurt. The ex-president grew up in Plains, Georgia. He ran for president as the candidate of the Democratic Party in 1976, and he was president from 1977 to 1981.
The Carter Center, a nonprofit and nongovernmental organization, was founded in 1982 by Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter. They partnered with Emory University “to advance peace and health worldwide,” according to the website.
