In her Bronx apartment, a 6-year-old American girl named Jalayah Eason was found asleep. Eason was said to have been found unconscious and with wounds all over her body, including on her wrists. Also, the little girl was found in the family’s dirty home early on Friday morning.

Lydia Eason called 911 and told the police that she had found her daughter cold and not breathing in a room in their apartment on the 12th floor of the Forest Houses, which is a NYCHA building on East 165th Street. Lynija also said that she tried CPR on her child, but her child stayed lifeless. After getting the call, EMS arrived 15 minutes later and took Jalayah to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The autopsy report has not been made public because the investigation into Jalayah Eason’s death is still going on. So, it makes sense that everyone is eagerly waiting for the results of Eason’s autopsy. Once the investigation is done, officials can decide if they want to charge the person with murder or not.

Lynija Eason, who is Jalayah’s mother, has been charged with endangering a child because she is said to have abused and ignored her two younger children. Lynija will also wait to see if she will be charged with murder. If the coroner decides that Jalayah’s death was caused by a crime, these charges will be brought against the suspects.
