‘Hotel del Luna‘ is a fantasy television series produced by Studio Dragon and written by the Hong Sisters – Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-ran – who are also known as the Hong Sisters. In it, Goo Chan-Seong, the newly appointed manager of the eponymous hotel, which only caters to the dead, is the central character. In collaboration with the hotel’s moody owner Jang Man-wol, Chan-Seong sets out to uncover the many secrets hidden within the establishment. The exciting K-drama premiered in 2019 and has received widespread critical acclaim, with fans falling in love with its colorful characters, suspense-filled plot, and euphoric original soundtrack, among other aspects.
In Korea, the series quickly rose to prominence during its initial broadcast run, and since its release on Netflix, it has gained a devoted following around the world. The first season of “Hotel del Luna” premiered on Netflix on September 2, 2021. On July 13, 2019, tvN broadcasted the first episode of the show in its home country, which preceded its release on the streaming giant. After airing new episodes twice a week for the first season, the show came to an end on September 1, 2019, with the final episode of the first season. The first season consists of 16 episodes, each of which lasts between 73 and 94 minutes.
In terms of a second season, neither the show’s creators nor the show’s original broadcast network has given any indications. It’s been more than two years since the first season of the show concluded its run on television. As a result, many fans are concerned that a sequel will not be released in the near future. Hotel del Luna Season 2 Cast
“Hotel del Luna” season 1 star Ji-Eun Lee (Jang Man-wol) as the main character and Yeo Jin-gu (Goo Chan-Seong) as the secondary character, respectively. Shin Jeong-Geun (Kim Seon-bi), Ji-Hoon Pyo (Ji Hyun-Joong), Bae Hae-Sun (Choi Seo-hee), Lee Do-Hyun (Go Chung-Myung), Kang Hong-Seok (Grim Reaper), and Hyun-Chul Cho (Sanchez) also appear in pivotal roles alongside the duo.
Yeo Jin-gu is expected to return to the show for the second season in his current role. Because their character arcs come to a close at the end of season 1, the majority of the other actors who play members of the hotel’s staff, as well as Ji-Eun Lee, are unlikely to return. Kang Hong-Seok, Hyun-Chul Cho, and Seo Yi-Sook are all possible returnees for the upcoming season of the show. If the show is renewed, the second season will most likely follow the characters of the Hotel Blue Moon’s staff and new owner. At Blue Moon, we will see the introduction of a new manager who will be tasked with assisting souls in their transition into the afterlife. In addition, the Hong sisters have expressed an interest in focusing on a male owner in season 2, which appears to be a continuation of the tease at the end of season 1.
