Harry Styles Honors Queen Elizabeth II In New York Concert

One of the most famous performers today, Harry Styles, paid homage to the Queen Mother on Thursday night. As he performed in New York’s Madison Square Garden, the English native, fresh off the press tour for his “Don’t Worry Darling” film, requested the audience to applaud and pay tribute to the late queen.

With his electric guitar slung over his shoulder, Styles informed the crowd, “From my hometown, there’s some terrible news today – the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.” “Let’s give this guy a standing ovation because he’s been doing this for 70 years!”

After a few seconds of silence, Styles stood up and started applauding, and the rest of the audience soon followed suit. “Thank you, Madison Square Garden,” he added before resuming the show.

It’s not just Styles who has paid royal tribute in Britain. Sir Elton John, riding high on the success of his latest single, “Hold Me Closer,” also posted a heartfelt homage to the late leader on Instagram.
