We became fixated on “that blonde girl” after Olivia Rodrigo sang about her in “Driver’s License.” The 20-year-old singer/songwriter, the preferred pop lady on the internet, is returning with her new album, GUTS.
Olivia will follow up SOUR in 2021 with her sophomore album, with songs already topping the charts that we can’t wait to sing along to. We’ve been playing her album’s lead hit, “Vampire,” nonstop.
Here is everything you need about Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming album, GUTS, including the release date, rumoured track list, and more.
Guts Release Date
Olivia Rodrigo’s new album is coming out soon, mark September 8 on your calendars and start preparing your best purple attire immediately. I’ll repeat it: new Olivia Rodrigo music is on the way!
Here, you can also look up the release dates for additional songs and albums:

The performer formally revealed the date for the release of her much anticipated second album, and it’s approaching faster than you would expect.
Fans had been led to assume that new music was in the works by the musician’s weeks-long tease campaign. (Was her good friend Taylor Swift, the queen of easter eggs, a source of inspiration? Likely.)
Her previous album, Sour, was published in 2021. On June 26, she announced on Twitter that her second album, Guts, would be released shortly.
“My sophomore album GUTS comes out September 8th,” Rodrigo wrote. “I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait to share it with you all! U can presave it now! xoxoxoxo.”

The expectations of following such a well-received debut album were previously discussed by Rodrigo, who told Billboard in 2022 that she was “exploring” new ideas and having fun while attempting not to put too much pressure on herself.
Rodrigo has shared that her ultimate goal with Guts is to showcase her maturity, which she echoed in a statement. “For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life,” she wrote around the album announcement.
“I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20 — it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change. I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully, the album reflects that.”
What Will Be on the Guts Track List?
Before the official release date of “Vampire,” the album’s lead single, Rodrigo gave fans a sneak preview of the promotional image, which featured a black and white portrait of the singer in profile with a light purple bandage covering the area where a vampire bite would be.
Fans could dial the Heartbreak Hotline at 323-622-SOUR for a song sample. “Vampire” ended out to be a piano-centered ballad with a fast second half that combines her sounds from “good 4 u” and “drivers license.”
Petra Collins, a visual artist and frequent collaborator of Rodrigo, directed the official music video. The remaining Guts tracks are still to come.
