An investigation has been opened by the Atlanta police department into a fatal stabbing that occurred late on Saturday night on Paces West Terrace in Buckhead.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., law enforcement officers rushed to a residence in the Paces West neighborhood, where they discovered Eleanor Bowles, age 77, suffering from “many lacerations.” The suspects in Bowles’ murder are thought to have been interrupted while in the middle of committing another crime, according to the investigators.
Michael Bowles, the son of Bowles, “I was on my way to visit her for the holidays and arrived to her a few hours too late.” “Discovering her in such a state is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Her biggest nightmare came true when she experienced what had happened to her. The majority of people’s worst fears have been realized.”
The murder probably took place sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., according to the police. The authorities reported that her 2021 Lexus SUV had been stolen, but they later located it in DeKalb County. The police are checking through security footage to get footage of the car after it was seen driving throughout the city on Saturday.
Images of a person of interest who is being sought by the police have been made public. The individual can be seen approaching the Lexus while dressed in a black shirt with long sleeves and Adidas leggings. They look to be getting inside the vehicle. The police have stated that they are unsure as to whether or not there was more than one person engaged in the killing.
Michael stated, “I am dedicated to getting the word out about this heinous catastrophe,” and I completely agree with him. “Also, I want everyone to be aware that none of us are in a safe position right now. I hope that people read this narrative and get it; if they do, perhaps we can all work together to bring about some positive change. Because of mum, I will never forget the importance of that message.”

Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. referred to the situation as “awful.” It is not fair that a family should have to spend their holiday morning mourning the loss of a loved one in such a way that they are forced to experience this scenario.
