Fast & Furious 10 will mark the beginning of the final chapter in the Fast & Furious series, and if Vin Diesel has his way, we may see a key character make a cameo appearance.
In November 2021, Diesel made a very public appeal for Dwayne Johnson to return to the series as Hobbs, and the request was granted. According to our best guess, Johnson hasn’t replied to this yet, but we believe there’s just a tiny possibility that it will (more on that in a bit).
Earlier in October 2020, it was announced that the last two films in the series, which will depict an overarching narrative, will be directed by Justin Lin.
Fans of the series may be sorry to learn that the series will come to a close with a two-part conclusion, but as Vin Diesel has stated, the series will be remembered fondly, and “Every story deserves its own ending”
Now, as Fast & Furious 10 and 11 prepare to begin production in January 2022, here’s all you need to know about the tenth and eleventh installments.
Fast And Furious 10 Release Date
On April 7, 2023, Universal Pictures will release Fast & Furious 10 in theatres, according to a statement (barring any delays, of course).
At one point, F9 was scheduled to open in theatres in April 2019, and the tenth film was scheduled to open on April 2, 2021, a date that was forced to be rescheduled after F9 was delayed numerous times before ultimately opening in theatres in June 2021.
Diesel has confirmed that production on the two-part finale will begin in January 2022, and, as Tyrese Gibson previously stated, the goal is to shoot the two films back-to-back in order to maximise the amount of time spent on set.
Diesel has said that the series’ conclusion would be split into two parts, presumably due of the popularity of the show. “there’s so much ground to cover”: “There are so many places and so many locations in the world that we have to visit.”

There is currently no release date set for Fast & Furious 11, but if the filming of the sequels is done simultaneously, it is possible that we may see the picture in April 2024 – or even sooner. We can only hope for the best.
Fast And Furious 10 Plotline
Everything is nicely wrapped up at the end of Fast & Furious 9, so there isn’t much we can assume about what will take place in the two-part finale of the franchise.
Several questions remain unsolved, like if Mr. Nobody is still alive and what Jakob will do next, but they feel more like subplots than a significant setup for what’s to come in the narrative moving forward.
The one major hint for the next film comes during the credits sequence when Han pays a surprise visit to Shaw, who is justifiably taken aback by his appearance. Will Shaw be willing to let bygones be bygones because he unwittingly assisted Han in keeping Project Aries safe? Alternatively, may Han’s unexpected homecoming prompt Shaw to reclaim his role as a villain?

“I think there are still some questions that are unanswered. It’s a taste of where Han can go and where Deckard Shaw can go because everybody loves Jason Statham. We’re honored to have him in our universe, so why not?” said in an interview.
One thing we can fairly predict about the two-part conclusion is that Dom and his family will likely be confronted with another mission to rescue the world, while simultaneously dealing with a threat to his own family.
Is it possible that other unexpected resurrections, such as Dom’s father or Gal Gadot’s Gisele, may occur in the future? As previously said, It’s impossible to rule anything out in this universe, however, it’s probably best to rule out a laid-back conclusion in which they simply sit about and chill.
At the very least, if Helen Mirren has anything to do with it, we might get to watch Queenie kiss Dom. “Oh my God, of course, I would! But only if he talks to me before and after, because it’s the voice that I really get off on, quite honestly.”

Fast and Furious 10 Trailer
With filming set to start in January 2022, we might get some behind-the-scenes footage during the shoot. Otherwise, we could be waiting until nearer the end of the year to see new footage.
Back when F9 was set for a June 2020 release, the first trailer was released in January 2020, so a similar timeline would put the first Fast & Furious 10 trailer around November time.
