The Murphys, a dysfunctional Irish-American family living in the fictional suburbs of Rustvale, Pennsylvania, are the focus of Netflix’s adult animation comedy ‘F is for Family,’ set in the 1970s. It is composed of Frank X. Murphy and Susan “Sue” Murphy, respectively a foul-mouthed Korean War veteran and a struggling entrepreneur, and their four children. The black comedy series unfolds through the family’s eccentricities and misadventures, as well as those around them.

F Is for Family made a surprising comeback to Netflix for season 5 on November 25th, 2021. The current season, which features eight new episodes rather than ten, begins up immediately after last season’s climax, in which Frank Murphy’s father died unexpectedly.

 

Frank’s erroneous path toward joining his father continues in Season 5, ending in a magnificent Christmas Eve concert that may just convince Frank of his error of judgement.

 

To answer the question, F Is for Family will just not return to Netflix for a sixth season. That is because the program will finish after season 5 as Frank Murphy’s quest draws to a close.
