Euphoria Renewed For Season 3 On HBO Max: Everything We Know So Far

Euphoria Season 3

Since the second season of Euphoria premiered on television, viewers have devoured every detail of the group’s tumultuous relationships. And it is for this reason that we are already looking forward to the next installment of Rue and Jules’s narrative. Is Rue able to become clean? What exactly happened in the Maddy/Nate/Cassie love triangle is a mystery. Will Tom Holland ever make a surprise appearance in a film?

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming third season of Euphoria, including the premiere date, trailer, cast, and more.

Euphoria Series Overview

According to HBO’s official description, “Throughout the course of the film, a group of high school teenagers negotiates love and friendships in a world dominated by drugs, s*x, trauma, and social media. Drake, along with manager Future the Prince, serve as executive producers for the series, which premieres on April 26.”

Is Euphoria Season 3 Really Confirmed?

YES! HBO and Euphoria announced on February 4, 2022, that a third season of the program was officially in the works, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it. “#EUPHORIA has been renewed for a third season,” stated a tweet from the show’s official account.

It’s hardly surprising that a third season would be produced, given how successful the previous two seasons were, with Zendaya even winning an Emmy for her major role in the first season. Fans, on the other hand, are thrilled!

When HBO announced the third season, they followed the same strategy that they did with the second season, which was to announce it while the previous season was still in progress. The second season of Euphoria has been announced while the first season is still in progress, which means it will premiere in July 2019.

Euphoria Season 3 Cast

If Euphoria season 2 ends in a cliffhanger, it’s likely that the whole cast will return for season 3. As a result of this, fans can look forward to seeing Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, Angus Cloud as Fez, Algee Smith as Chris, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, and Maude Apatow as Lexi, in addition to newcomers Dominic Fike (Elliot).

As for the supporting cast, we expect to see most of them in season 3, along with some new ones. Fez was meant to die in season 1 and there are suspicions he would die in the season finale, so there is a chance that one or more of our favorite characters might die in season 2 as well.

Fans who feared Rue might be killed off in season 2 may take a deep breath. According to Zendaya, Rue’s season will conclude on a positive note this year. She went on to say: “We’ll feel vindicated in the final episode. Because I believe Rue and everyone who suffers from the same condition deserves it, too.”

Casey Bloys, HBO’s CEO, revealed that Zendaya will be returning to WarnerMedia’s 2022 investor day. “She’s going to be in season 3,” Casey told TVLine.

Euphoria Season 3 Release Date

There is presently no information available on when Season 3 of Euphoria will be released, but we anticipate that it will not be too long after the conclusion of Season 2 of the series. Season 1 was released in June of this year, and two stand-alone episodes were released in January of the following year, bringing the total number of episodes to six.

It was not until January 2022 that Season 2 of The Walking Dead was eventually released after production difficulties caused by the coronavirus forced the show’s return to be postponed.

Euphoria Season 3 Plotline

Euphoria’s third season plot has yet to be announced by the show’s actors and staff. We’ll probably have to wait until the conclusion of season 2 before we know what’s going to happen. Rue’s and the rest of the Euphoria characters’ fates will be decided in the season 2 finale.

‘Variety’ recently quoted Chloe Cherry as saying she’d want to see more moments between Rue and Faye in season 3: “Despite their differences, I believe Faye and Rue have a lot in common when it comes to their struggles with addiction and might benefit from one other’s experiences. That’s all Faye wants from Rue, a character who isn’t judgemental. I believe they might get along better if they got to know each other better. They have a lot in common, yet despite that, they are both laid-back gals.”

As previously reported by Entertainment Weekly, creator Maude Apatow plans to expand on Fez and Lexi’s romance in season 3. She retorted: “Angus is a pleasure to deal with. I believe Angus is a fantastic performer, and it’s always a blast to work with him. So I’m hoping for more scenes with you guys since it’s enjoyable. He’s a fantastic coworker. I’d want to continue working with him since he’s so present and brilliant, as well as a joy to be around.”

Hopefully, this implies that Fez will survive the season 2 conclusion of Euphoria!
