It was revealed on Friday that Eric Braeden, who has played Victor Newman on the CBS serial opera “The Young and the Restless” for more than 40 years, is undergoing cancer treatment.

“I’m a little under the weather, but not really much. I work out, but reduced, in a reduced way,” Braeden, 82, revealed in a 13-minute Facebook video.

When checking Braeden’s bladder, a urologist allegedly found several “high-grade” malignant cells. He revealed that while recovering from knee surgery, he had been having problems with his prostate.

The 2018 heist thriller “Den of Thieves” and “Titanic,” in which he played John Jacob Astor IV, both featured the Emmy-winning actor, who claimed to have been able to continue acting on “Y&R” despite receiving immunotherapy treatments for six weeks.

Here are some further updates that are similar to this one:

“I’m happy to be able to go to work,” he confessed. “That, I enjoy. It distracts me. I love acting. I love knowing that I entertain people.”

He promised that he “will lick this.” “This bastard ain’t going to get me. I’m going to get it,” he added. “I’ll be in top form again soon.”

In a recent news story, actor Eva Longoria was criticized by Braeden for making “derogatory remarks” about her time on “The Young and the Restless” during an interview with Chris Wallace on CNN’s “Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace?”

“You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium!,” she said. Braeden mentioned Longoria, 48, in a tweet this month. She appeared in the soap opera from 2001 to 2003 before joining “Desperate Housewives.”
