Democrat Karen Bass is running against Caruso in the midterm elections. His campaign for mayor has cost more than $100 million.

On the eve of the midterm elections, actor Chris Pratt voiced his support for a political candidate by endorsing billionaire Rick Caruso in the campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. Pratt’s endorsement came on Sunday.

Pratt, who is 43 years old, posted a series of tales to his Instagram account in which he essentially campaigned for Caruso, who served as president of the Los Angeles Police Commission in the past.

Additionally, in 1985, Caruso was appointed by Mayor Tom Bradley to serve as a commissioner for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

“I’ve been a resident of Los Angeles for more than two decades. It has been quite beneficial to me. During that period, I’ve witnessed what many other people who live in this city have witnessed: the city’s slow descent into anguish and complete anarchy,” Pratt said online. “If you reside in this area, you are fully aware of what I am speaking about.

“I don’t normally support political candidates. But there’s too much at stake in this election.”

He added, “I want you to vote for @rickcarusola if you live in LA. He builds things. He knows how to make things happen. He’s the right person for our town. Rick Caruso should be LA’s mayor.”

Maria Shriver, who is Pratt’s mother-in-law, has also revealed who she will be voting for, and she has been a vocal supporter of Caruso on Twitter for a long time.

“This election will come down to the wire, and every vote counts. The decision to go with @RickCarusoLA is easy if you want Los Angeles to evolve beyond its current state. The future of the city depends on its ability to adapt. Now is our chance; let’s get moving! “She sent out tweets.

Caruso, registered as a Republican in the past, will compete against Congresswoman Karen Bass in the midterm elections on Tuesday. After winning reelection in November of 2020, Bass is serving her sixth term as the representative for the 37th Congressional District.

Before being elected to the House of Representatives, Mr Bass served as the Assembly Member for the 47th District of California for six years.

Both Bass and Caruso are running for mayor of Los Angeles to replace Eric Garcetti, whose term as mayor is coming to an end. However, the race is fiercely contested. Los Angeles residents are split between the real estate developer (known for his hotspots such as The Grove and The Commons in Calabasas) and the former social worker who has advocated for Los Angeles communities for decades. Bass is running to replace Garcetti. Caruso is running to replace Gar.

Through tweets, Caruso received endorsements from Kim Kardashian in May and Katy Perry in June. Katy Perry’s support for Caruso came shortly after Kim Kardashian’s. Caruso also has the support of celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Elon Musk, and Gwyneth Paltrow. According to the documents kept by the government, Caruso was a Republican for more than two decades before he transitioned to independent status in 2011.

Caruso returned to being a Republican in 2016, the same year he served as the California campaign co-chair for the presidential campaign of fellow Republican John Kasich. Then he became independent once more in 2019. He switched his party affiliation to Democratic just a few weeks before entering the contest for mayor in February.

Bass has recently received support from former President Barack Obama, Steven Speilberg, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Danny Trejo, and Antonio Villaraigosa. He served as the former Mayor of Los Angeles.
