Theodore “Ted” Kaczynski, the “Unabomber” who sent postal b0mbs to experts in science and other fields, was discovered deαd in his cell on Saturday morning. Kaczynski was raised in the south suburban Evergreen Park area of Chicago.
After pleading guilty to explosions between 1978 and 1995 and resulting in three fatalities and 23 injuries, he was sentenced to eight life terms.

Kaczynski attended Harvard University after completing his high school education at Evergreen Park High School at 16. He later worked as an assistant professor at the University of California-Berkeley.
He thereafter left society, built and moved into a remote cabin in Montana, where he started to deliver b0mbs. His early victims were from the Chicago area in large numbers. A mail b0mb hurt an officer of the Northwestern University Police in May 1978.
A graduate student from Northwestern was harmed a year later. A b0mb went off six months later, injuring 12 people on an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Washington.

Then, in June 1980, Percy Wood, the president of United Airlines, suffered injuries when he detonated a b0mb delivered to his Lake Forest home. Age 81 was Kaczynski’s.
