The popular manga series ‘Chainsaw Man’ is receiving an anime adaptation, but fans may have to wait for the release date according to fresh sources.
There are literally dozens of manga series from across the globe accessible for you to read online, but there aren’t that many series just like Chainsaw Man.
With a substantially darker topic than many other conventional series, combining very brutal violence and a cast of outstanding characters, the manga has been a fan-favourite over recent years.
However, a fresh set of ‘leaks’ and claims are spreading on social media, hinting that fans may have to be patient when waiting for the Chainsaw Man release date.

Chainsaw Anime Release Date
In December 2020, suspicions about an anime arose when The Unofficial Shonen Jump News Twitter page tweeted that a “TV anime adaptation” for Chainsaw Man will be developed.
Many fans had been anticipating an anime adaptation to be unveiled after the finish of the manga that weekend after author Tatsuki Fujimoto said that a “important announcement” will be made.
On December 13th, it was officially confirmed that the epic manga will be making its television premiere.

What About The Theme of Chainsaw Anime?
At the time of writing, Chainsaw Man will premiere in 2022 according to a source from the Weekly Shonen Jump Twitter page, although a precise date has not yet been confirmed.
The WSJ manga Twitter page announced on December 3rd that both part 2 of the manga and anime adaptation will debut in 2022.
Whilst a definite release date for the Chainsaw Man anime has not been confirmed, HITC anticipates the series will launch in Fall 2022.
11 volumes of the Chainsaw Man manga series have been published in Japan, ensuring the production team don’t have to wait around for source material to become accessible.
Similarly, MAPPA is one of the biggest studios operating in today’s anime business, meaning the crew can pour a huge amount of resources into the animation; perhaps the most time-consuming aspect of any series.
Assuming that a Chainsaw Man adaptation experiences a similar production schedule to other major projects such as Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen (fellow MAPPA titles), fans could expect the series to premiere in June 2022, but a more likely scenario would be an October 2022 launch on the Fall slate.
A new leak from Twitter user ‘rcco r0nd0’, who detailed how the CG animation would be used in the CSM anime, may cause alarm among fans.
Computed Generated animation and 2D art will be employed for backdrops rather than people or action in the production.
