At an event in Cupertino beginning in September, Apple announced the iPhone 14 series. This means we can start looking forwards to the different models available in 2022. The series has four phones: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Yes, this year, there won’t be an iPhone 14 mini. We compared all four iPhone 14 models based on their published specs and our own experience to help you decide which one might be best for you.
iPhone 14 Vs. iPhone 14 Pro Price
Different iPhone 14 models have different prices. We don’t have to tell you that.
If you live in the United States, you’ll be happy to know that prices haven’t gone up since last year. However, this may not be the case in other countries, especially the UK, where prices have increased significantly.
This time around, the prices are as follows:
- iPhone 14: From $799 / £849 / €999
- iPhone 14 Plus: From $899 / £949 / €1,049
- iPhone 14 Pro: From $999 / £1099 / €1,299
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: From $1099 / £1199 / €1,449
The iPhone 14 models are now available for pre-order and three of the four models will be available on September 16th.
iPhone 14 Vs. iPhone 14 Pro Design
- iPhone 14/14 Plus: Aluminium frame, dual camera, notch, five colors
- iPhone 14 Pro/14 Pro Max: Stainless steel frame, triple camera, Dynamic Island, four colors
The standard Apple iPhone 14 models look identical to the iPhone 13 models. The top of the screen still has a notch. As you might expect, the iPhone 14 Plus looks just like the iPhone 14, but it’s bigger.
This means that, like in years past, both sizes have two lenses, flat edges, and an aluminum frame. They are also waterproof and dustproof to IP68 standards. On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro models look different from the regular iPhone 14 models and any other iPhone.
APPLE
As was widely expected, the notch has been replaced by what Apple calls the “Dynamic Island,” a pill-shaped cutout that holds the front camera and sensors and shows animations and widget-like information. In Dynamic Island, different alerts will show up, and the island will change based on what you do.

For example, if you use Apple Pay, Dynamic Island will turn into a square if you open another app while on a phone call; Dynamic Island will grow and show the length of the ring and sound waves. Overall, it’s a significant change from the design language Apple has been using for years and using the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max feels very different from the regular versions. This is a good thing.
