Porco Galliard is killed in the battle between Eldia and Marley in Attack on Titan season 4, episode 19, and his death is eerily similar to Ymir’s in a number of respects. Almost every new season of Attack on Titan is chock-full of callbacks and parallels to previous seasons, all of which serve to enhance the new material. Season 4 has been no exception in this regard, and the most recent episode brings material from as far back as season 2 all the way around to its conclusion.

Zeke employs his ability to transform anyone who has ingested his spinal fluid into a Titan in order to divert Marley’s attention long enough for the Eldian euthanasia plan to be implemented. As a result, when Reiner is led to believe that Zeke has been killed and Eren’s threat has been neutralized, he decides to let Falco consume him in order for him to gain the title of Armored Titan and give himself an excuse to stop fighting. Prior to Falco devouring Reiner’s flesh, Porco appears in his human form, which is sufficient to divert Falco’s attention away from Reiner and cause Falco to devour him instead.

However, it is a little perplexing because Zeke is supposed to be in command of the coordinates. So how Eren was able to accomplish this is something we do not yet understand. It appears as though Zeke has been duped by Eren once more. Additionally, the question remains as to whether the younger brother will betray his older brother once more. And, if he succeeds, will his older brother forgive him once more.

We’ll find out more in the next episode of the final season of this epic anime series. There are only 8 episodes left until this enthralling saga comes to an end!
