Armand Hammer, Armie’s great-grandfather, “shut him off” from the family line. According to a source, “His parents won’t support him anymore, so he got to work.” The actor is claimed to be working as a timeshare salesman in the Cayman Islands.

However, despite Armie’s “cannibal” scandal landing him in rehab, the Hammer family continues to live large thanks to great-grandad Armand, who became an oil tycoon in the 1950s with Occidental Petroleum and ran the company until his death in 1990 after becoming a billionaire oil tycoon.

For example, according to Jay Epstein in his 1996 book entitled, “Dossier: The Secret History of Armand Hammer,” the billionaire mogul was personally involved in several high-profile scandals, including money laundering and Soviet espionage.

Many controversies bedeviled Armie’s great-grandfather Armand Hammer as well. Michael Hammer, Armie’s father, took over the business from Julian, his own son, and now runs the Armand Hammer Foundation, the Hammer International Foundation, and other family-named organizations.

Michael Hammer, Armand’s grandson, and Armie’s father took over the firm. Armie’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, told on Friday that he couldn’t, “confirm or deny the report because Armie hasn’t addressed it. I just think it’s that the media is shaming him for having a “normal job” if he’s selling timeshares.”

In the Cayman Islands, Hammer has yet to respond to claims that he worked as a timeshare salesman there.
