BTS performed at American Music Awards (AMAs) for the first time in 2017. And after four years they created history by winning the artist of the year award at the well-known US awards show.
On Sunday evening, BTS win an award in the United States after a gale year for the band, who gave back-to-back hits including Butter and collaboration with the Coldplay for the song name My Universe, these two songs are also performed by them in AMAs.
The history creator group of South Korea is the first Asian act to win the title at the AMAs after the category was established in 1996.
On November 23, This year’s socially-distancing AMAs ceremony in Los Angeles comes just forward with an announcement of the names of the nominees for the upcoming Grammy Awards, which is going to be organized in January. BTS is supposed to win various Nominations.
BTS defeated Ariana Grande, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd, and current AMA Artist of the Year title holder Taylor Swift.

In the Band’s acceptance speech, the leader of the BTS, RM, said, “Four years ago, we had [ …] our first time ever TV live performance at this stage at the AMAs, it was DNA, We were too excited and nervous at the time. It’s been a long and amazing ride since then but nobody could have ever bet on the odds of us standing here receiving this award. Except for you all, [BTS’s fandom] Army. Except y’all.”
Besides the title of Artist of the year, BTS was also acknowledged as the favourite group pop artist in 2021, and along with this Butter was seen as the favourite song in the category of pop songs.
This Honour for the BTS band at the AMAs is the result of their hard work, tears and sacrifices for the group, who made their debut in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, at present Big Hit and member of the larger Hybe Corp. They proceed to create rollers through their likeable and pleasant music, energetic performances with related messaging which they usually share through their lyrics, social media, and other platforms, combined with their speeches at the United Nations and have won many hearts of fans throughout the world.
