It was written and directed by Naoko Yamada, and it was inspired by a narrative by Reiko Yoshida. Futoshi Nishiya created the character designs for the film. “A Silent Voice” (Koe no Katachi) was released in 2016 as a Japanese animated film. Based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Yoshitoki Ima, the film is set in the same world as the manga. The film had its world premiere in Japan on September 17, 2016, and it was released in various parts of the world between February and June of the following year.
Unfortunately, we have some bad news for the movie’s fans: the film has been canceled. It appears that the continuation of the story will be postponed in perpetuity. But, you never know, perhaps the leaders of the film industry will be able to pleasantly surprise us this time around as well.
In today’s article, we will inform you (actually, we will remind you) about the recently released film “A Silent Voice,” the manga on which the entire story is based, and also about the reasons why we should not expect a sequel to this teen psychological drama film – “A Silent Voice 2” to be released.
A Silent Voice Season 2 Release Date
It is quite doubtful that a sequel to the popular anime film would be released because the way the film is concluded gives honor to the characters in the first place. However, if you want more substance, more of Shouko and Shouyo, you can check out the manga version of the series for that purpose. The manga contains more substance, and the character development that we were deprived of during the adaptation can be found in the manga as well.

A Silent Voice 2 Storyline
As previously said, “A Silent Voice” is a young psychological drama film that falls within the genre of teen dramas.
The film examines the emotional, social, and spiritual characteristics that arise in an elementary school group of young people after a hearing-impaired girl joins them, with a particular emphasis on how those characteristics connect to the hearing-impaired girl as a result of her joining them. Many diverse reactions are displayed by teens to the newcomer, some being unfavorable and others being more neutral.
Using his buddies, former delinquent Shoya Ishida harasses and bullies the deaf girl, Shoko Nishimiya, at the schoolyard. When Shoko finally decides to switch schools, all of Ishida’s friends and professors accuse him of pressuring her to do so. The fact that others were responsible for tormenting her in varied degrees did not prevent him from becoming a victim of his own actions.
As a result, Ishida is deemed unfit to continue in his senior year by his peers. His conclusion, as a result, is that having friends is a waste of time. Ishida has even attempted to commit suicide as a result of his complete lack of long-term preparation.
Now that atonement is on the table, he discovers that he has the potential to learn sign language and unintentionally comes into contact with Shoko, who is profoundly lonely as a result of her hearing impairment and excessive shyness. As a result of the harsh social and emotional challenges she is confronted with, Shoko begins to consider taking her own life at this phase.
The film covers various characteristics of a young relationship, such as pride, rejection, betrayal, redemption, and genuine love, in an amazing and acceptable manner, among other things.
In this film, Naoko Yamada does an excellent job of describing the inner worlds of the two main characters, Shoya Ishida and Shoko Nishimiya, who are both females. Every individual aspect, which appears to create a continual barrier between Shoya and Shoko, was meticulously planned and demonstrated in the film, whether it was through visual or audio movie effects.

A Silent Voice’s primary source material
Following the story’s progression, the Manga for A Silent Voice is divided into two parts, each with 62 chapters spread across seven volumes. Unfortunately, the movie contains a complete adaptation of the manga’s tale. The film concludes in a similar manner to the manga.
Due to the fact that there are no more volumes to be turned into a manga, the sequel is in jeopardy.
A Silent Voice: Sales And Profit
During its theatrical run in Japan and around the world, the film received positive reviews. Something to keep in mind is that the film was up against the critically acclaimed film Your Name, directed by Makoto Shinkai.
When we take into account the manga sales, the movie’s earnings, that is, the Box-Office earnings, as well as the Blu-Ray and DVD sales, we may compute the profit earned.
