Small kids in South Florida, and those all over the country, are now able to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Youngsters ages 5 to 11 are now eligible to get their dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine. Not all but few pharmacies are providing these facilities. Beginning from Saturday morning, several selected pharmacies such as Walgreens, Winn Dixie, and Fresco Y Mas will be available for the process of the vaccination.
On Tuesday, the CDC approved the vaccine for that age group, pointing to a major discovery in the fight against COVID-19.
President Joe Biden said, “For parents all over this country, this is a day of relief and celebration.”
On Thursday, Youngsters as young as five years of age focused in to have the chance when the Palm Beach County Health Department carried out portable vaccine units.
The vaccines will soon be available at schools and hospitals.
In Miami-Dade County, kids can get a dose at 40 school sites with their parent’s consent.
“Vaccinating our children will help keep our schools open, kids in the classroom,” said Biden.

Children make up an unbalanced number of new COVID-19 cases.
The American Academy of Pediatrics published a report showing children account for a portion of all the new cases last week.
The vaccine that children will get is the same as the one adults get, but smaller.
Dr. Marcos Mestre, Chief Medical Officer Nicklaus Children’s Hospital said, “This is a third of a dose which we saw in the adolescents and adults so it’s 10 micrograms as opposed to 30 micrograms.”
