In New Jersey, a severe collision that resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries is being investigated. In Bloomfield Avenue Park, a wrecked car was leaning against a tree, as CBS2’s Natalie Duddridge reports.
According to police, the vehicle went over an embankment and down a hill, ki!!ing two people and injured at least one, around 5 a.m. on Monday. The victims’ identities are still unknown.
“We said a prayer for people who were in the car,” one person said. “I was able to see the car that hit the tree. A horrific scene.”
“Oh my. Sincere condolences to everyone involved, Gloria Johnson stated. According to sources, it all started with a police chase to Glen Ridge, a nearby hamlet, after some sort of armed robbery in Montclair.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the driver lost control of the vehicle as it moved eastward on Bloomfield Avenue close to Ridgewood Avenue. One individual remarked, “Cars are always coming down here quickly.”
The collision occurred near an elementary school and the Glen Ridge train station. According to a crossing guard Duddridge talked with, he is constantly concerned about students’ safety.

“That corner right there is pretty dangerous. They’re flying. I’m trying to get them back. It’s a hotspot, all I can tell you. Really sad that that happened,” crossing guard Carl Brown said.
The car was wrested from the trees and hauled. The automobile has Pennsylvania handicap license plates. The attorney general’s office is now in charge of the probe.
